Elixir: a poem

I took an elixir the other day

and the fever – remember The Fever?

It went away.

Black dribbled colours.

Ice turned warm.

Beauty from ashes began to form.

Feelings returned

as a warm spring,

filling up dry patches

and making everything green

Healing came, and with it visions –

unfolding on pages of possibilities.

Visions of

Life.

Hope.

Life.

Peace.

Life.

Love.

Life…  Life…  Life.

God, oh God, let this elixir flow within me forever!
